Karrion Kross and Scarlett returned to WWE television on last night's episode of SmackDown.
The couple, who were released back in November 2021 following a quiet off-screen kayfabe split and miserable main roster run for Kross, immediately launched a storyline with major stars Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns and The Usos.
The Bloodline were in the ring jawing off with McIntyre when some familiar music hit and Scarlett appeared on-stage. Then, Kross blindsided Drew and slammed him head-first into the ringside steps as Roman looked on.
Scarlett then slid an hourglass into the ring, and Kross motioned for The Bloodline to start counting down the minutes - it appears that Karrion is headed for a series of matches vs. McIntyre and then (eventually) Reigns.
That's a colossal spot for somebody who was called up from NXT last year and totally wasted with one of the worst repackage job attempts in living memory. Kross has gone from that uncertainty to a spot near the top of the card on SmackDown.
Triple H previously booked Kross as one of NXT's biggest heels. Something similar could be incoming now he's back.
