You've got to give something to Tony Khan.

The AEW boss sure packed a ton of content into this week's edition of Rampage. Was all of it good? No, but there were nuggets of fun for those who made an effort to tune in. You always know you'll see at least some solid in-ring action when firing up All Elite programming - the roster is too deep to disappoint there.

Storytelling has been a bone of contention though. On Friday, Tony tried to remedy complaints about that by hurling non-stop promos at fans. Some of them, like a quirky chat between Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli, were completely serviceable. Others...sagged. A few AEW acts look like they're clueless when cameras are put in front of them and they're expected to talk, and that's a problem.

This week's show featured big bumps, injuries and more of the worst ongoing storyline in major league pro wrestling. It'd be a miracle if Khan was able to pull the nose up on this one, or even turn it into something his core audience is willing to accept for the rest of 2024.

Here's all the good and bad from a 'C' show that continues to flit between valuable complement to the bigger weeklies and outright disaster.
