2 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Rampage (Oct 28)
4. This Is Becoming Too Standard
'WarJoe' was a sh*t name when you first heard it, and it's becoming even less appealing the more and more AEW's announcers bark it like Wardlow and Samoa Joe are the second coming of The Road Warriors. Seeing Joe run out to save Wardlow is a recurring theme, and a tired one.
Speaking of which, what's up with these lazy multi-man brawl endings for episodes? Surely Tony Khan can come up with something better than the same old formula of heels attacking a babyface > fellow face saving him > more heels coming out to beat him down and stand tall?
It's wrestling 101, sure, but it kinda loses impact when it happens so damn often.
Finally, Powerhouse Hobbs apparently linking up with The Embassy is a sideways step for the guy after splitting from Team Taz. That should've happened because he was ready to stand on his own two feet, not because he needed some incoming ROH group's help.
