2 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (May 16)

Tyler Breeze and Fandango's recent elevation proves that SmackDown is still very much "the land of opportunity." The duo were nowhere a month ago, but have now become one of the brand's most consistently enjoyable acts. They've gone from enhancement talent to title contenders in the space of a few short weeks, and they're finally being given the opportunity to showcase their personalities on television, thanks to the Fashion Files.

The saga continued last night, and as usual, Breezango blazed through the SmackDown roster's various fashion crimes, with Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin, and "The Uggos" taking the heat this week. It was fun, light-hearted, and comfortably the best thing on the show. There are shades of Edge & Christian in the way the duo banter with one another, and if they're allowed to continue down this path after Backlash, they'll be over with the crowd in no time.

It speaks volumes that two former jobbers critiquing other wrestlers' merchandise was the best thing on SmackDown, but that show's overall lack of quality shouldn't detract from the good work Breezango are doing. They're shining at the moment, and while a win over The Usos still seems like a long shot, it wouldn't be the worst idea in the world, particularly if it keeps them on TV.
