Downs...

6. Continued Pretence

The Miz John Morrison

As The Miz and John Morrison stood tall atop ladders on the stage, this writer couldn't help but remember reading that Miz wasn't involved in those WrestleMania 36 tapings last week. His continued inclusion in the booking might've been forgiveable last Friday. but it wasn't here.

Why couldn't WWE just announce a change? People would've accepted it.

Instead, the writers continued pretending that the announced Triple Threat Ladder bout is on those 'Mania cards that'll air over the weekend. There wasn't even a hint dropped that things might be different, or some last-minute injury tease to help explain Miz's absence on the night.

This weekly pretence is torturous for those who know the card format at 'Mania, and it's insulting to those fans who do stay up-to-date with all the cut and thrust from the daily news cycle. Miz's 'Mania sabbatical should've been implied at least.
