2 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (23 Sept)
3. Bulk Fit
Bull Dempsey's career progression certainly rhymes with Bull-Fit. The good news is that the crowd have gotten behind this new, fun-loving Bull Dempsey, the adorable clown who slaps his belly and plays up to the cries of "This is Bull-Fit". The problem is, he's still losing. Once again, Bull Dempsey ended up with his ass laid down for that 3-second tan. The story now follows Tyler Breeze to his next encounter, this time with Apollo Crews. Bull is left behind. Wins and losses don't mean everything in this industry, but a trends of losses can really sour the public on a character quickly. Since the revamp of his persona, Bull is 1-2 on TV, which forces a fan to ask, how much more can Bull take before the shine is off the apple? Also, despite fitness being the backbone of his new gimmick, Bull certainly hasn't seemed to have slimmed down in any meaningful way. In fact, short of a new boxing robe, Bull's appearance hasn't changed at all. For some reason, he still slaps his belly, bigging up the fact that he's unhealthy, rather than on the road to self-discipline. He should be doing pushups in the ring, not amplifying his chubbitude. Let's hope that Dempsey can start adding some Ws to his TV record soon, otherwise the fans behind him might stop chanting "Bull-Fit", and start chanting ... well, you work it out.
