1. Kacy Has Potential

WWE loves pushing superstars who have mainstream or crossover appeal, so it wasn’t surprising that they paid a fair amount of attention to Kacy Catanzaro.

The former American Ninja Warrior competitor moved on from obstacle courses to the squared circle and had her first televised match in the Mae Young Classic, defeating Reina Gonzalez in the first round on Wednesday.

With just a handful of matches under her belt, Kacy couldn’t be expected to have a five-star classic, but she showed flashes of potential that could make her a standout. Catanzaro used her gymnast background to hit some nice moves, including a rotating handstand into a headscissors and a unique springboard dropkick.

It will be interesting to see if Catanzaro’s prowess with American Ninja Warrior and her experience as a gymnast will help propel her wrestling career, but we saw some potential Wednesday night.
