20 Absolute Best Wrestlers In The World Right Now

17. Braun Strowman

This list would have no room for Braun Strowman if pure in-ring ability was the sole criterion, but if wrestlers are to be judged by how effectively they fulfil their role, 'The Monster Among Men' absolutely belongs among the best in the world.

Braun's performances are always one of the most enjoyable aspects of any show he appears on. No other wrestler can match his 'holy s***' spectacle, regardless of promotion, and WWE have handled him perfectly, making him their greatest modern creation.

If the Sami Zayn feud showed the first signs of Strowman's greatness, the Roman Reigns storyline put him on a pedestal. Their gritty, violent matches coupled with Roman's surprising excellence in the underdog role sent Braun's popularity through the roof, and he remains Raw's star attraction, even when Brock Lesnar is around.

Braun is the perfect giant. His moveset is hard-hitting and impactful, his athleticism astounding for a man of his size, and his charisma magnetic. It's impossible to take your eyes off Strowman whenever he's onscreen, and there's no reason he can't eventually become the era-defining star WWE have been looking for for years.
