It’s a shame in many ways that the 2015 Royal Rumble is remembered for all the wrong reasons, because it got started with a bang.

Entering at #3 in a Rumble originating from Philadelphia was the ECW original and former WWE superstar Bubba Ray Dudley. Bubba had last been seen in WWE a decade earlier, and his departure was not an amicable one.

Dudley’s return naturally resulted in a huge reaction from the Philly faithful, and he quickly teamed up with R-Truth, who assumed the D-Von role, as they hit a 3D on The Miz and eliminated him.

His night would end shortly thereafter, with no real D-Von in sight, but the Rumble appearance would serve as a preview for the Dudley Boys’ return later that year.
