8. HBK, Bulldog Go Coast To Coast (1995)
Whenever WWE announcers start talking about the Royal Rumble and which number is the luckiest, someone will inevitably say that number 1 is the worst position, only to be reminded that two men have entered number 1 and won the Rumble. One is never mentioned on television (Chris Benoit in 2004, for obvious reasons) and the original, Shawn Michaels in 1995. But what make Michaels trek all the more impressive is that the person who entered number 2 with him, Davey Boy Smith, was the last person he eliminated. The British Bulldog also went the length of the match, only to be tossed in controversial fashion. Bulldog thought he had eliminated Michaels, but HBK managed to keep one of his feet from touching, preventing his exit from the match. Michaels snuck up behind a celebrating Smith and knocked him out, punching his ticket to WrestleMania. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLlqsqqABe4 Michaels would lose his title match against Diesel, but all anyone talks about today is his amazing, then-unprecedented victory.
