15. The Hardcore Truth (The Bob Holly Story) - Bob Holly With Ross Williams

One story in The Hardcore Truth immediately stands out, about the then-WWF's ill-fated Brawl For All tournament. At first, Bob Holly wasn't involved, but a spot opened up and he was recommended by JBL as the perfect man to fill it. As Bob says, he was excited to show WWF management how tough he really was.

Perhaps most interestingly of all, Holly assures the reader that he wasn't exactly making great money in 1999. Despite being on television most weeks and having been a stalwart of the company for years, Bob was low down the totem pole. Throughout the book, that's something he consistently has a problem with.

The Hardcore Truth deals more in frustration than anything else. It's important to note that this is obviously a biased account from Holly's point of view, but that's not to say there's no truth to each story told.

It's told from a different perspective, looking at the period of rule for The Kliq in the promotion and Bob's change from goofy gimmicks to Hardcore Holly.
