18. Rudes Brood (Rick Rude, Mr. Perfect & Fabulous Rougeaus) vs. Roddys Rowdies (Roddy Piper, Jimmy Snuka & The Bushwackers) - Survivor Series 1989
Piper and Rude began feuding after Summerslam 1989, which saw Ravishing Rick lose the Intercontinental title and blame Roddy for the loss. Rudes team featured the still undefeated Mr. Perfect and the fabulously underrated Rougeau brothers, while Pipers squad consisted of Jimmy Snuka and the Bushwhackers. It created for a thoroughly enjoyable mish mash of personalities. This match was a blast! Rude was one of the greatest heels of our time and Piper was a fitting foil as the heroic hot head. Seeing them lead teams into battle is a real treat. So, while this is probably a match that has flown under your radar, newer fans, do yourself a favor and give it a watch sometime. It is one of the prime examples of how to use the elimination tag match to highlight the WWE mid-card, laying a foundation for the bouts listed above.
