For those of you who don't know the story, Jim Herd, who served as Executive Vice President in WCW from 1988-1992, was an abject moron when it came to wrestling. Universally hated by the talent who worked under him, he once argued for the creation of a tag team of hunchbacks because they could never be pinned. Thankfully (or maybe not), he was talked out of it and the compromise was The Ding Dongs. Two masked wrestlers clad in hideous orangish bodysuits, their gimmick was that they rang bells. Why? Because kids love bells. So they would walk around ringside ringing bells. Incessantly. Surprisingly The Ding Dongs are never mentioned among wrestling's great tag teams.
