He seems more like the subject of a spooky children's rhyme than someone who could possibly be real, but people just go with it. He is the undead, a zombie figure of darkness who appears to have died countless times (being burned alive, buried alive etc etc) but always comes back, without fail, resurrected and relentless in his approach. He's been a villain and an anti-hero throughout his long, long life, and every time he is 'killed' and returns, he's somewhat different, but his power remains constant. Fear the Deadman.
