From Preston in England, Wade Barrett has been a prominent figure in WWE since the Nexus angle in 2010. Under his new Bad News Barrett gimmick, he is the current WWE Intercontinental Champion in his fourth reign. Barrett has all of the tools to be a world champion in the company, from quality mic work to excellent skill between the ropes and an incredibly over finishing move in the Bull Hammer Elbow. He is clearly having the time of his life as Bad News Barrett, even though the gimmick kept him out of the ring and behind a podium for several months. He is one of the most proud foreign superstars, with his English heritage a key part of his character. The reaction he got during the recent London episode of Raw shows that he is just as popular in his homeland as in his adopted country.
