Though much of the creative direction of WWE was spiralling into the sewer by 2001, the company still loosely held on to some of the principles that had propelled it to the top of the industry in the first place. Everything - theoretically - was still considered, including how to write off a stage to make way for an even more iconic one.

The new set famously displayed an enormous fist shooting through glass, whilst the old one was bid adieu by Chris Jericho taking a painful trip in the opposite direction.

Long before High Definition was even A Thing, this company used to look f*cking great.
