20 Greatest WWE SmackDown Superstars Ever

1. Edge

If SmackDown was born The Rock's show, it was Edge's for the formative years.

'The Rated-R Superstar' burst back onto the blue brand in 2007 after a tag heel and spunky babyface tenure on the brand nearer the start of its life. Pinning The Undertaker as part of a controversial Money In The Bank cash-in on his first night back, Edge became entrenched in the upper echelon entirely as a result of his freedom to grow on the perceived weaker show.

Working to adjust those perceptions of the brand and himself, Edge assembled a body of work that completely redefined his legacy as a surefire Hall-Of-Famer and unflappable and unshakable topliner. His unexpected 2011 retirement was mourned in kind.
