After eight years away, Lesnar faced John Cena at the Extreme Rules 2012 PPV in the main event. They had a wild brawl that Lesnar should have won, but instead it was John Cena that emerged victorious. Stupid booking decisions like that made a lot of people question what WWE was doing with Lesnar. They brought him back to lose? That's puzzling.
