Although it has become tainted in recent years (and WWE will never again air it), the visual of Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit, two wrestlers who (like Daniel Bryan) had been told they were too small and would never make it to the top of WWE, holding the World Heavyweight and WWE Championships above their heads at the end of WrestleMania XX, was iconic. The two men shared an emotional embrace after Benoit had defeated Triple H and Shawn Michaels in the main event of the Madison Square Garden show as confetti rained down on them. A little over three years later, both men would be dead but while Eddie was lionised and celebrated, Benoit was hated and erased from history.
