20 Incredible WWE Ruthless Aggression Era Moments Nobody Ever Talks About

12. The Best Wrestling Wedding Ever

You might think wrestling fans are a nasty bunch.

Some of them will call you worse than sh*t for saying that an acclaimed wrestler might have one or two flaws to their game. Some of them will abuse you in your DMs for preferring one wrestling promotion to another. Many of them chant "What?", which is more detestable than a Matt Hardy contract storyline.

Well, almost.

And yet, they must be a bunch of softies deep down, because, historically, they tune into a wrestling wedding in their droves. Weddings are, invariably, a ratings hit - and the very best of the lot might well have happened in 2007.

SmackDown General Manager became besotted with Kristal, and the two were engaged very swiftly. The ceremony was just incredible. Jagged Edge were hired as the wedding band, and their song 'Baby Makin' Music' was a delight - so delightful that rotund comedian Bruce Bruce, as the minister, swayed with a grin on his daft face bigger that his stomach. Imagine the opposite of Dax Harwood being told that he only worked the second best tag team match of the year: that's how ecstatic Bruce was.

A lot of the "gags" were stupid - Kristal fell over her dress, Jillian Hall interrupted to sing a song of her own - but this knew precisely what it was, and Teddy's selling of his unfortunately timed cardiac arrest was brilliantly stupid and over-acted.

Only slightly less laughable than John Cena taking a bump, at least it was meant to be funny.
