Possibly the most famous Canadian wrestler who doesn’t have a familial connection with the Harts is Chris Jericho… and technically, he’s not actually Canadian.

Christopher Keith Irvine was born on November 9th 1970 in Manhasset, New York. His father was Canadian NHL left winger Ted Irvine, who played the majority of his professional hockey career in the USA, and was playing for the New York Rangers when his son was born.

It wasn’t until Ted retired in 1977 that the family finally moved back to Winnipeg in Canada. From what I understand, Jericho has dual citizenship: but he was American from birth, a Long Island kid like Zack Ryder (who mentions that fact in his foreword to Jericho’s second book).
