20 Most Infamous Real Life Wrestling Fights Of All Time

12. Eric Bischoff Vs. Ric Flair (2003)

WWE

There had been bad blood between Flair and Bischoff stemming all the way back to their WCW days, when in 1998 they had been involved in an ugly legal bust-up due to Flair missing a taping of Thunder because he was attending son Reid€™'s wrestling meet.

Flair had told Bischoff weeks in advance that he would not be there, but Bischoff had either forgotten or did not care, and expected him to attend anyway. By this point, they were both fed up with each other because of various differences of opinion, and a situation had been brewing with them for some time. Bischoff responded to the no show by suspending Flair, threatening to sue him and put his family on the streets. Eventually they reached a truce for the sake of business, but the resentment lingered.

Five years later while both were in WWE, Flair decided to finally confront Bischoff. He marched into an office where Eric was in a conference call with his wife and an estate agent, and demanded that Eric stand up so he could kick his ass. Bischoff was more than a little taken aback; he had been out drinking with Flair several times fairly recently, so he assumed this was an angle or someone setting him up.

When Flair started throwing punches at him he realised it was serious. Bischoff managed to avoid most of the blows before the fight was broken up by Sgt. Slaughter and other agents, but he wanted to know what had happened so went to speak with Flair at catering, where thing escalated again, leading to Arn Anderson had to separating them.

Tempers then flared between Bischoff and Anderson, and Triple H was forced to play peacemaker. Things were getting out of hand, so everyone was brought in to meet with McMahon where they made peace. Since then, the two have became friends and worked with each other on various projects.
