View this post on Instagram 333 days later - I never washed em’. And I never wanted or thought about a rematch. However, tonight potentially being the last match of your career definitely will permute that thought. I have witnessed a lot of retirement bouts, and often there’s a sense of closure and finality that actually rings positively to most fans. This is not one of those situations. You’re too good to go and I’d be lost at AEW without you. Just a little boy wearing fancy suits trying to hide the fact that often, I’m just doing a poor mans’ Dusty impression. That’s selfish I know, so don’t consider this a concession speech...instead, this is just a reminder. At Double Or Nothing, I will gladly stand across from you again. We are both better now than a year ago, so good luck...hit your finish and win. I have punched you, kicked you, lacerated you, tried to make you submit, dropped you on your head countless times, but I have never stopped loving you. There’s a reason I didn’t acknowledge the crowd when they started chanting Pops’ name at double or nothing, it’s because it wasn’t about him...if anything, that match was about you. So be you, I’ll be me, and I hope to see you in the finals. #dothework and leave no doubt.
