Well, then. We were rightfully expecting something a bit special when AEW announced their "Winter is Coming" Dynamite special a few weeks ago, but it's fair to say that Tony Khan and co well and truly over-delivered this week.

If the debut of one of the most adored and iconic stars in wrestling history, Sting, wasn't enough, All Elite Wrestling also decided to give us arguably the greatest wrestling cliff-hanger ending of modern times.

As it looked like AEW World Champion Jon Moxley had gotten the better of Kenny Omega in the pair's highly anticipated main event encounter, guest commentator/Impact Wrestling Executive Vice President Don Callis performed the most subtle of mic drops. One well-timed illegal shot to the head, a disgusting amount of V-Triggers to the skull and a One-Winged Angel later, we had ourselves a new champ.

The real twist was still to come, however. As Omega and Callis exited the arena, the latter told fans to tune into Impact this Tuesday to find out more about this unexpected series of events.

Does this mean the door is now open for a few Impact/AEW dream collaborations? Could Young Bucks take on Good Brothers? Will Mox look to invade Tuesday nights?

Though we don't fully know what this exciting new direction means for the Elite part of the wrestling world, we do know that our favourite AEW stars have been as active as ever on Instagram this week...
