20 Most Revealing AEW Instagram Posts Of The Week (Jul 13)
UFC Champions, EVPs fading to black, and more made their way onto AEW stars' Instagram this week.
The show is now officially back on the road and those talented souls calling All Elite Wrestling home didn't waste any time reminding those lucky few in attendance in Miami precisely what they've been missing for far too long.
Hitting the Road (Rager) with a bang from the off, Cody Rhodes pulverised his long-time pal-turned-prick QT Marshall with a strap, setting the tone for an evening that was as vicious as it was gratifying. But The American Nightmare soon found himself trapped inside of his own as the walking loophole that is Malakai Black (f.k.a. Aleister Black, s.k.a. Tommy End) shocked the world - Jim Ross included - by Black Massing the EVP and Arn Anderson into oblivion.
So far, so welcome back.
If that wasn't enough, Wednesday night also saw UFC and American Top Team royalty Jorge Masvidal, Amanda Nunes, and Dan Lambert in attendance, with Lambert even seizing the mic for a spell. Although his killer promo work was soon abruptly cut short by a well-taken Blackout from Lance Archer. Not even a rogue fan threatening to derail Le Champion's sit-down conversation with The Salt of the Earth could take the shine off a moment over a year in the making; and we're not just talking about a capacity crowd chanting "who's your daddy?" at MJF.
On a show that also boasted Young Bucks going to war with Eddie Kingston and Penta El Zero Miedo in the main event, though, few moments produced the sheer level of noise and anticipation than the sight of The Hangman and The Cleaner finally coming face to face as we no doubt build to one of the biggest showdowns in the history of All Elite Wrestling.
