And while some would point to a lacklustre crescendo as an unforgivable conclusion, it's important not to forget the absolute hell both The Inner Circle and The Pinnacle put themselves through in the lead-up to "cement"-gate.
A star-making turn from Sammy Guevara, Cash Wheeler making it his sole purposes to out-bleed every man in the structure, and MJF taking the next step on his journey to becoming the most despised human in all of wrestling were just a few of the notable takeaways on the back of what is hopefully set to become a yearly highlight on the AEW calendar.
It wasn't all Blood & Guts on the titular night, however. Kenny Omega nicked Orange Cassidy's Ray-Bans as the stage was set for Cassidy vs. PAC II: This Time it's Juicier, with the two going to war over an AEW World title shot at Double or Nothing on next week's Dynamite. Dr. Britt Baker will also finally get her surgical glove on Hikaru Shida at the upcoming PPV too as AEW starts to step on the gas with just a few weeks to go until their second major event of the year.
Before we get to a show that also boasts Darby Allin and Miro clashing for the TNT title and The Young Bucks defending their AEW Tag Team gold against SCU, though, it's probably wise to make like Cody Rhodes' pup on Instagram and have a tactical lie down...
