The tale of the Von Erich family is not a happy one. David and Kerry were the most successful of the brothers, with David supposedly earmarked as a future NWA champion before his early death. Kerry won it in his stead, and also had some success in WWE. Chris and Mike, meanwhile, were not meant to be wrestlers.
They didn't have the build or the temperament for the work, but it was the family business. Kevin Von Erich, ranking somewhere between Kerry/David and Mike/Chris in terms of success, is the only surviving brother.
