20 Possible WWE Royal Rumble 2016 Surprise Entrants

4. Jeff Hardy

Where's Jeff?

This question would be the natural response to seeing Matt Hardy return at the Royal Rumble, not dissimilar to a situation seen last year. To further illustrate the potential drawback to having Matt (or less arguably Jeff) enter this year's Royal Rumble, look no further than the reaction Bubba Ray Dudley got at the 2015 Royal Rumble when he came out in full Dudley Boyz attire. Soon after Bubba entered, fans began clamoring for Devon Dudley, but were ultimately disappointed when he did not appear and, instead, R-Truth played the Devon role with Bubba.

Jeff Hardy's return has been speculated, fantasy-booked, dreamed about, and hoped for in large circles by many fans almost immediately after he left WWE in 2009. There have been rumors floating around recently that both Matt and Jeff would be interested in returning to WWE and the 2016 Royal Rumble would be a good place to see it happen.

A former stuntman for Paramount Pictures, Matt enjoys sports, water skiing, driving fast, the beach, professional wrestling, technology, and scotch. At the same time, whenever possible. Having attended many famous (and infamous) shows including WrestleMania XV, In Your House: Mind Games, and the 1995 King of the Ring, Matt has been a lifelong professional sports and wrestling fan. Matt's been mentioned in numerous wrestling podcasts including the Steve Austin Show: Unleashed, Talk Is Jericho, and Something To Wrestle With Bruce Prichard. As a former countywide performer, Matt has been referred to as Mr. 300 for his amazing accomplishments in the world of amateur bowling. He is also the only man on record to have pitched back-to-back no hitters in the Veterans Stadium Wiffle Ball League of 2003.
