20 Rare WWE Themes You Totally Forgot Existed

12. €œThis Fire Burns€ - Randy Orton, 2006

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbfuHLtLqkQ Everybody knows CM Punk€™s first theme in the WWE, €œThis Fire Burns€ by Killswitch Engage. It became such a big part of his character that ESPN€™s columnist Bill Simmons did an entire column on the importance of wrestler theme music, with Punk€™s theme used as the main example. What a few of you may not know is that the song wasn€™t originally designed for Punk, but rather for Randy Orton, and he actually used it on an episode of Smackdown! The tempo was all wrong for a guy with Orton€™s slow saunter to the ring. It was such a departure from €œBurn in my Light€ that it was jarring. WWE quickly realized the mistake and gave Orton back €œBurn in my Light€ before giving him an even better song in 2008 that fit his new persona perfectly, €œVoices.€
