20 Reasons You Need To Get The WWE Network

19. WCCW

Before WWE ruled the world, wrestling was divided into territories. In Texas, World Class Championship Wrestling was the place to be. Most famously operated by Fritz Von Erich, it provided a platform for his sons to be mega-stars. Kevin, Kerry and David Von Erich were as big as any wrestlers could be in their home state of Texas, and they could all go in the ring. Who are heroes without their villains? The Fabulous Freebirds, Michael €œP.S.€ Hayes, €œBam Bam€ Terry Gordy and Buddy Roberts, were one of the most innovative teams of all time. They were one of the first cool-guy heel stables, but also played into the gay-panic heat from the Texas crowd and were pioneers of entrance music. WCCW was more than just those two teams though, and with talent like €œGentlemen€ Chris Adams, Iceman Parson and €œGorgeous€ Jimmy Garvin, WCCW is still incredibly entertaining thirty years after its heydey.
