Scott Stanford delivered the news, and announced that Reigns would not compete at Night of Champions the following day. He also spoke with WWE medical staffer Dr. Chris Amman to provide information about Reigns incarcerated hernia, as well as Dr. Haile Mezghebe at the hospital. This could revolutionise how WWE deliver news and content. Having someone like Scott Stanford, who is a legitimate sports news correspondent, deliver the news from WWE HQ adds a sense of legitimacy to the sport and makes it seem like a big deal. WWE could also consider using this to unveil kayfabe announcements from The Authority, or enhance stories in a million other ways.
