20 Reasons Why Last Night's WWE Raw Was An Absolute Mess

7. No One Cares

The Riot Squad civil war should work as a storyline given the divergent directions taken by Sarah Logan, Liv Morgan, and Ruby Riott since they split as a trio. Unfortunately, last night’s activities revealed it a complete objective failure.

Why? Listen to the crowd reactions. From start to finish, only a handful are engaged. Much of the Riott vs. Morgan match went down to ambient background chitter-chatter with the odd polite applause here and there. Sarah flooring her former buddies post-match got a little pop, but only a little one.

WWE hasn’t done enough to make people care about these performers and their storyline. Riott hasn’t heated up since returning, Morgan is coming out of an omnishambles of a storyline, and Logan has largely been idle since the Squad was disbanded. Now, you’re expected to care about them heading into Elimination Chamber.

It’s the writers’ fault, not the audience’s.
