WWE decided against holding any Money In The Bank qualifiers this year, opting instead to straight-up name the ladder match participants on Raw and SmackDown.

This isn't a problem in itself, but it becomes one when you end up with nonsense like last night's Robert Roode vs. Ricochet match, in which the latter would have taken the former's MITB spot in the event of a victory.

That's completely backwards. If WWE wanted them to clash for the spot, booking them in a standard qualifier last week was the answer. On top of this, the company decided to use Michael Cole to inform as that Ricochet "would never make money in WWE or sports entertainment in general," burying him in victory.

They've already botched his push. Speaking of which...
