13. You've Been A Network Subscriber Since The Beginning
The WWE Network launched in February of 2014, and it wasn't long before company higher-ups realized that their new business plan wasn't as popular as they'd anticipated. When initial estimates showed that the Network had garnered 667,000 subscriptions - far short of the anticipated 1,000,000 - WWE stock tumbled. To compensate, the company dropped all penalties associated with cancellation and not signing up for a long-term subscription, offered free months to new subscribers, and even gave away free Roku Sticks for Christmas. These tricks helped the subscriber number jump above 1,000,000, but they didn't matter to hardcore fans - those of us who couldn't wait for the Network to launch as soon as it was announced. We had been subscribers since the very beginning, and we'll continue to subscribe for as long as we can. Still, those free months and gifts for everyone else kinda hurt, don't they?
