The 'Miss. WrestleMania' Battle Royal from 2009 will forever be remembered for Santino Marella dressing up in drag (like the worst RuPaul contestant ever) to win it. Things might've been different had Trish not politely declined WWE's offer to work the match as part of the 25-strong field.

She didn't want to. According to comments made during an interview with SLAM! Wrestling, Stratus fancied sitting back home and watching the pay-per-view with her family instead. That was all that happened; WWE phoned her up, she said no and both parties went their separate ways.

There was no chat about finishes or Trish refusing to do the job.

Stratus' omission from the match stung a little at the time. The Battle Royal had been promoted as a scrap between the greatest female workers in WWE history, but Trish wasn't there. Just as well Santina was though, eh?
