20 Times The Undertaker Proved WWE Is His Yard

16. Locker Room Leader

Undertaker The Roster Considering the myriad of stories out there about the Undertaker€™s backstage influence, it should come as no surprise that the man has been a locker room leader for many years. His loyalty to WWE and the respect he earned from his peers eventually turned him into a leader, one whom the other Superstars could use to voice their concerns to management. Undertaker exemplified this loyalty to his peers on the eve of the Montreal Screwjob, when he confronted Vince and ordered him to apologize. The mere notion of Undertaker threatening to quit was enough to get Vince to come out of hiding and confront Bret Hart. In later years, the Undertaker became the kind of guy who would enforce WWE€™s standards and traditions, especially as the judge of Wrestler€™s Court. There are numerous stories out there of him passing judgments and the guilty parties doing exactly as he demanded, knowing the dire consequences of defying him. Alberto del Rio once called Undertaker €˜the Godfather of American wrestling€™, which is a very appropriate title. Undertaker is universally-praised and respected not just because he€™s loyal to WWE, but because he returns respect whenever it€™s given to him. Only a man who runs the yard would command such authority and respect, and that is exactly what Undertaker is.
