During the mid-2000s, one of the best feuds in WWE was the one between Randy Orton and the Undertaker. Taking place over the majority of the 2005 calendar year, Ortons Legend Killer moniker was put to good use, as Orton was the first person whom fans thought had a legitimate chance of ending the Undertakers Streak. Undertaker did end up beating Orton at Mania, but it was a very close match, as Orton pulled off a lot of impressive moves, including countering a Chokeslam into an RKO. Moreover, over the course of the year, Orton would get advantage after advantage over the Undertaker, which led to some very memorable moments. These include, getting his father to interfere in his match at SummerSlam, killing the Undertaker using Eddie Guerreros low-rider, and all of those legend killer videos that aired throughout the fall of 2005 that showed Randy standing victorious over a vanquished Undertaker. All of these moments made Randy Orton look incredibly strong against the Deadman, and perpetuated the idea that Taker mightve actually met his match. However, Undertaker returned as only he can, and defeated both Ortons in a brutal Hell in a Cell match at Armageddon 2005. Considering how much Randy Orton had the deck stacked against the Undertaker, and how much momentum he had over the Deadman, Undertaker somehow finding a way to defeat both of them and come out on top showed fans once again that the Undertaker is the biggest dog in the yard.
