20 Times WWE Was An Absolute Mess In 2020

6. Lana, Bobby, & Rusev

That the storyline that effectively spelt the end of Rusev's WWE run spilt over from 2019 into 2020 was bad enough, as this "love square" was an objectionable shambles from start to finish, but the damage done to each of its participants puts it over the top.

It took the fantastic Hurt Business stable to save Bobby Lashly from the muck as WWE spent months bumbling the giant powerhouse into a role as the second most important personality in his relationship. Liv Morgan was introduced as an apparent lesbian fling then completely forgotten about. Rusev vanished from television soon after, failed again by a broken creative team, while Lana was quickly cast aside by Lashley when MVP came calling.

Wedding angles generally pop ratings, but let's hope WWE never tries anything like this ever again.
