19. The Moondogs

Neville Red Arrow

The name of around twenty wrestlers affiliated or not with tag team the Moondogs over the years. The word literally means, someone, usually a hillbilly, who’s gone lunatic, barking at the moon like a dog.

It was first used by Louis Thomas Hardin, a legendary composer, poet and musician who lived homeless by choice in New York City for the best part of the whole of the twentieth century, dying at the ripe old age of eighty-three. He’d dress up like a Norse warrior, hence the name of the biopic due for release this year: The Viking Of 6th Avenue.
