The former Kevin Steen famously took his WWE ring name from his son, Owen – it also makes his initial ‘KO’, something the WWE’s merchanidisers need to get further behind.

What’s perhaps less well known is that Owen Steen is named for one of Big Kev’s favorite wrestlers of all time, Owen Hart, arguably the best all-rounder the legendary Hart family ever produced. On that subject: Owen was originally intended to be the recipient of the nickname ‘The Game’, moving his character into a new main event level within the WWF. Upon his death, the decision was made to pass that nickname on to Triple H, who took it on in part to pay tribute to Hart.
