20 Most Unsung Heroes In Wrestling History

8. Jim Johnston

There are a lot of people who deserve credit for the success that WWE has had over the last several decades, but one of the biggest reasons they've achieved that success is someone who the average fan couldn't pick out of a lineup. Jim Johnston is a musician and composer that has been working for the company for 20 years, and has been responsible for so much of what you've ever heard while you watched WWE programming. The Rock, The Undertaker, Vince McMahon, The Ultimate Warrior, Steve Austin, DX, Randy Orton, Triple H... the list goes on and on and on and on, and every single one of them have entrance themes written and/or composed by Johnston. They have entrance themes that fit their characters perfectly, and it's all thanks to Johnston's ear for things and creating stories, even though many of them feature no words. With behind-the-scenes people, Adam Penucci's name might be far less known than Johnston's, but as the Vice President Of Domestic Television, Penucci is responsible for creating all of WWE's amazing video packages that air on television and pay-per-view. Even though Penucci is a name that most WWE fans don't know, he gets so much (deserved) praise for what he does, creating the best video packages ever, wrestling or otherwise, while Johnston is often overlooked for what he does. That is the reason Johnston is here, while Penucci is not.
