4. The Miz
It's entirely okay for CM Punk to believe that he deserved to headline Wrestlemania XXVII versus John Cena. As the leader of the Straight Edge Society for much of 2010, CM Punk was easily WWE's most compelling performer. Of course, he wasn't the social media and mainstream mega-star that The Miz became, so he was overlooked. WWE's adoption of social media marketing into their corporate structure was done with minimal concern about how to best fold it into their in-ring branding. The idea that John Cena had a less-than-optimal outing versus The Miz (when Punk was likely at a level where he could've more than delivered) had to make Punk feel secretly vindicated, while at the same time having the seed planted that it was time to leave WWE.
