20 Women WWE Need To Sign
4. Cheerleader Melissa
The 19-year veteran has long been one of the best women wrestlers in the world.
If the women's evolution began earlier, things would have been different for Melissa. She had a WWE tryout match under her real name Melissa Anderson against Victoria on WWE Heat in 2006, but attitudes towards the female division were different at the time. She also had a stint in TNA/Impact, where she was sadly underutilized.
As Mariposa, Melissa enjoyed some impressing showings in Lucha Underground, but most of her best moments have been on the indies where she has the platform to fully showcase what she does best. She is a two-time Shimmer Champ and she is the current Shimmer tag champ with Mercedes Martinez. If both her and Martinez are signed, they would be a formidable pairing if WWE was to institute a tag-team division - or they could start feuding with each other and elevate the women's division.
Even if they don't give her a major push, she could be brought in as a dependable hand who could have a good match against anyone. She could help less experienced talent develop and, in the future, maybe work as a trainer like other past Shimmer alumnae.
