20 Wrestlers For WWE's Latin American Tournament

19. Cezar Bononi (Brazil)

Bononi signed on at WWE's Performance Center in 2015 and has had a few matches on NXT since; on the May 10, 2017 episode, Cezar lost to Aleister Black. Then, on May 31, he beat current NXT Champion Andrade Almas.

There's no need to feature Almas in the tourney. Give that spot to someone who needs it, like Bononi.

The Brazilian is a good shout for this proposed tourney due to his uniqueness. There aren't too many other Brasileiros WWE can call upon who already know the system, have several years of company experience and need the exposure. Bononi fits the mould here, and he'd be conspicuous by his absence.

His status as a "Future Star of NXT" (judged at NXT's year end awards in 2017) means Cezar is someone WWE have high hopes for. Sticking him in the brackets against a wrestler with more experience of working elsewhere would make sense.
