20 Wrestlers Who Stole A Living From WWE

19. Kevin Nash (2011 Singles Run)

Kevin Nash is a very important wrestler for WWE history. He had one of the longest WWF Championship reigns in the last twenty five years, and was an integral part of the Monday Night Wars, through his involvement in both the Curtain Call incident and the birth of the New World Order. So while opinions on Nash€™s skills as a WWE Superstar may vary, at least virtually everyone can agree that his best time was during the 1990s. However, Nash took part in one of the most unnecessary, confusing, and otherwise stupid storylines in recent memory, when he became a central figure in the Summer of Punk. Nash attacked CM Punk, allowing Alberto del Rio to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase on him, stealing the World Title. What followed was a convoluted storyline involving strange allegiances, backstabbing, ladders, sledgehammers and a cellphone. This feud really hurt everyone involved, especially considering that few younger fans really knew who Kevin Nash was, considering his last moment in WWE was all the way back in 1996. What was Nash doing in WWE? Did he really need to be on the main roster, shifting the attention of CM Punk away from the WWE Championship and onto him, someone whose biggest claims to fame were a year-long WWE Championship reign in the mid-1990s and more success in WCW? The answer is, no, he didn€™t. Nash shouldn€™t have taken part in that storyline; he was long past his prime and didn€™t need to get involved in a white-hot feud between CM Punk and the McMahon family. His involvement took away much-needed screen time from people who needed it most, especially when the feud transitioned into one between Nash and Triple H.
