20 Wrestlers You Totally Forgot Held WWE Championships

9. Terri (Hardcore Champion)

Best known for hanging out with Goldust, her role in Pretty Mean Sisters, and feeding Perry Saturn’s beloved mop to a woodchipper, Terri Runnels isn’t exactly remembered for her wrestling acumen. Primarily a valet, her matches were few and far between, but she’s one of many unorthodox “wrestlers” to profit from the Hardcore division’s mania.

Terri had pretty much ran her course by May 2002, but that didn’t stop her from pinning a dazed Stevie Richards to become Hardcore Champion. Richards, of course, won the belt back almost immediately, only to lose the belt to Raven, then Tommy Dreamer, then Raven again at a house show the following evening.

It remains Terri’s only wrestling championship to date, and she stands as an example that literally anybody could become Hardcore Champion. A number of other women held the belt throughout its lifespan, but at least Trish Stratus and Molly Holly had wrestling pedigree.
