You have to give TNA a small measure of credit here: they came up with a fairly interesting idea for their Triple Threat playoff match, essentially making it a reverse-elimination bout in which a wrestler qualified to the next round of the World Title Series by scoring a pinfall. Whichever of the three wrestlers failed to pin an opponent would be eliminated. Of course, you can argue that it would be simpler to just eliminate whoever gets pinned first, but this way was imbued with much more tension, as DJZ scored the first fall on Manik, and Tigre Uno got the second one. Poor Manik, having to job twice within five minutes. He deserves better.
