20 WTF Moments From WCW Nitro (Feb 2nd, 1998)

9. The American Traitor

Here comes the man who betrayed WCW and joined the new World order just nine nights before, it's Dusty Rhodes. As The Dream accompanied Scott Hall to the ring and Hall cut a promo, it was clear by the end of it, that Dusty's turn wasn't going to be some sort of big moment or him working to get a young guy over or be positioned in a storyline or anything. Instead, he was going to become another nWo lackey that walks down to the ring in and stands in the background with the black and white colours adorning his portly physique. The most frustrating part is that Dusty Rhodes joining the nWo could've been such a major storyline and led to so many fascinating possibilities. Instead, it hasn't even been two weeks and you can already see that the company doesn't have major plans to do with the story. A damn shame.
