At the 2014 Royal Rumble, CM Punk made his final appearance in the WWE, entering the Rumble as #1 and surviving to the final four, along with Roman Reigns, Sheamus and Batista. However, the hope that Punk might win the Rumble over hot new favourite Roman Reigns or the guy nobody wanted to go to WrestleMania, Batista, was quickly squandered when the already-eliminated Kane pulled Punk over the top rope and chokeslammed him through an announce table. And with that, Punk was gone. He walked out of the WWE the next day and never returned, to the heartbreak of his fans everywhere.
