11. Bashing Canadian Health Care
Brock Lesnar's struggles with diverticulitis are well documented. They are a large part of why his career as a mixed martial artist ended. Back when those struggles first flared up in 2010, Lesnar had no idea what was causing the pain he was in. He was in Canada, on a hunting trip, and had to check in to a hospital. He would later describe it as being "like I was in a Third World country." Those comments did not sit well with Canadians, who happen to be rabid supporters of mixed martial arts in general. The hospital Lesnar had attended was small, in a small town in Manitoba near where he was hunting. Their lone CT machine was broken, and doctors were waiting on a fix. In the end, he left and went back to the U.S. where he was finally diagnosed. In short, it wasn't really representative of the country as a whole, and Lesnar later apologised, going so far to say that one day he'd love to have dual citizenship.
